Representative Q. Johnson moved to suspend the rules which interfere with introduction of and action on HJR 12. The motion was seconded by Representative Longhurst and adopted by voice vote. Representatives Atkins, Barbieri & Mulrooney requested that they be marked present.
Representative Q. Johnson introduced and brought HJR 12, jointly sponsored on behalf of all Representatives & Senator Sorenson & Senators Connor, Ennis, Hall-Long, Katz, Peterson & Sokola, before the House for consideration.
HJR 12 - RECOGNIZING APRIL 2012 AS AUTISM AWARENESS MONTH.
Representative Q. Johnson made a comment.
The roll call on HJR 12 was taken and revealed:
YES: 30.
ABSENT: Representatives Atkins, Bennett, Carson, Hudson, J. Johnson, Keeley, Manolakos, Schooley, Schwartzkopf, Scott & D.P. Williams - 11.
Therefore, having received a constitutional majority, HJR 12 was sent to the Senate for concurrence.
Representative Viola requested that he be marked present during the roll call. Representative Q. Johnson made comments regarding HJR 12. Representatives Longhurst, Wilson & Briggs King made comments.
The Majority Whip moved to recess for committee meetings and to the call of the Chair at 2:14 p.m.
