Purpose of the Bill : This Continuing Resolution will allow the Tax Rate Review Committee for the Sussex Technical School District to review up-to-date and detailed financial information regarding the current tax cap ceiling and to offer the Legislative body alternatives and recommendations that might be considered regarding the tax rate. The current requested tax ceiling is one option; whereas, the Sussex County Technical School District Administration offered an alternative option of a reduction in force (RIF) of 47 employed individuals. This Continuing Resolution will allow this Committee to detail to the Legislative body other options that would be viable remedies to allow Sussex County Technical School District to operate efficiently into the future.

Committee Findings: The Committee has found this concurrent resolution acceptable for release.
